Unironically, that is "coming into form" by Gyokeres standards.

He was working very hard previously this season without really forcing chances for himself with either his movement or his physicality. The last two appearances though over just 4 days have been very encouraging, opposition notwithstanding. He should have had more goals against Kairat and Leeds. The finishes against both Inter and Kairat show his finishing ability when facing the goal. If he keeps upgrading his understanding with his teammates, more goals are bound to come.

He also finally has some partnerships that are benefiting him. In particular, Trossard seems on his wavelength, and Martinelli too.

Wish he could start putting away these 1 on 1s. Needs to be a bit smarter with them. Ie moving across defender so they cant challenge/taking shot earlier/chopping back when they flying in.

Atm he's a bit like any of us would be when through on goal - running with stronger foot into position to get shot off. Surely something he can improve on.

Not that we shouldn't shoot him out of a cannon on the first day of the transfer window, but him not losing the ball every time he touches it makes a world of difference.

DiabyKungFu could do with him being a bit more capable on the ball. Any situation where he has to control the ball/think too hard about his next action ends in a turnover.

To be clear, I'm giving Viktor some credit. This has been the case almost all season, but I don't think it was the case the past two games. Good for him. Long may it continue.

DiabyKungFu he's definitely been better of late but as you say, nothing to warrant persisting with him beyond this season. And he still offers very little on the ball other than the odd shot here or there.

Yep he may eventually turn in to the player we want him or need him to be, but it probably less of a risk if we go out and buy an alternative this summer

Yeah if he were to score that it would be a power side footed stroked shot which the keeper gets a hand to but can’t prevent it going in.

well i can't see him getting a good first touch on the pass from rice so everything after that is inconsequential.
