While I was previously worried that we might be obstinate and keep him next season no matter what, I am no longer really concerned about that. I agree which is why we shouldn't have dropped £60m to sign a player who won't score goals like this. Henry did analysis on him earlier this season, similar through on goal doesn't control it well and the defender catches up.

I still hope he turns it around but I don't think he will, probably have to take a massive loss on him but lets hope the player has some pride and wants to leave! I still think he could go to Germany or Italy and do pretty well in either league, this league his physical and technical abilities are being badly exposed.

Even putting aside the "he's much worse" part, the only reason Jesus is still here is because he was injured over the summer.

You are saying that like its 2016 and not 2026. Strikers that score that goal 9 times out of 10 cost over £100m these days.

I could see him scoring 25 goals a season in Bundesliga. Given his age, I'd look to offload him in the summer. It's potentially the only window we'll have to sell him for an OK fee.

We're back to the same situation as in June 2025. A new striker is a must in the summer window.

Dom I am 90% ready to agree. This is not a player who can be useful as a backup or a second option. We either try to get some play out of him for the rest of the season then get him to agree to going on the market, or we face years of him lingering around as a wage burden.
