Honestly, I think he's just finding it harder to stand up to and compete with PL defenders, many of whom sit quite deep. It's completely at odds with both the standard and style of play he typically faced in Portugal. How often does he fall over under pressure? Mentioned it in the match thread but reminds me of how we were all disappointed with how powderpuff Baptista was when he eventually joined. He was no beast.
I know it's a platitude but the PL is a different beast, particularly in terms of the physicality.
