He wasn't good and yet he gives us that single mindedness with vertical running down the middle or using the channels. People here will defend Arteta and his choices to the hilt but overlook that he started Gyokeres over a player he signed 2 years ago that knows his fellow forwards and midfielders well. Surely Arteta has seen what he needed to in training. For me it couldn't be more different. In a poor performance all around, one center forward option mostly ran towards the goal he had to score into while the other option mostly came short, moving away from the goal he had to score into. Gyokeres will score goals more goals than Havertz regardless of overall play simply because he gives an impression that he really wants to only score.
By the way Sesko in his cameo was worse.
