Burnwinter a lot of speculation and assumptions in there. I see your point. You’re welcome to it but I disagree and don’t think that’s how this has played out. I reckon our difference of opinion essentially boils down to my perspective leaning toward the sporting merits of pushing to get him earlier v your view of it being more economically advantageous to wait.
We’ve had slow starts to the season all too often under Arteta, two of which arguably impacted our chances of winning a title. I’m just of the view that we should be doing everything to avoid that and get all the main pieces together as soon as possible, and that meant Gyokeres on a plane getting to know his new mates and being involved in the Milan tie.
There’s very little resentment on my end about our handling of it though. The condescending smugness with which you dismiss others and have welcomed this development on the other hand….
