Havertz is an injury prone player who usually fluffs his chances in big games and moments. Pretty sure Gab has more goals than Kai even taking into account goals per min. Please don’t compare them.

Only player in our team who won a CL and scored the winning goal. Scored our winning goal yesterday, scored our only goal against City but yes lets go with Gyokeres who has been bullied by PL defenders for the majority of the season for our most important game.

JazzG this is not the same Kai of 2024 let alone 2021 so that’s a moot point. He also missed a ton of chances v Man City. VG has played more games but is our top goal scorer, have some respect. The main difference between the two is that each passing game VG is on an upward trajectory whereas Kai is staying the same at best or at worst depreciating.

VG is the man and should start the next two games.

Yes he did miss a lot of chances against City but the difference between Havertz and Gyokeres he was actually getting on the end of chances. If Gyokeres can get on top of defenders he has a chance but otherwise he is marked out of games and offers little to nothing. I do agree Havertz not back to his best which is why he started yesterday and needs to start against Palace.

Last 5 games Gyokeres has 3 goals and Havertz has two, Kai has played less minutes and still not up to scratch so I'm not entirely sure I believe this upward trajectory talk.

Gurgen thong is Gyokeres has become pretty great out as an outlet in recent weeks. Much better winning those long balls and actually turning them into dangerous situations.

Premiership wrapped up now - 14 goals and 1 assist in 26(10) matches over 2230 minutes. Basically one in two striker. Pretty decent. In terms of the eye test clearly improving - explosiveness seems a bit better and team is adapting to his runs finally - bodes well for next season. Excellent fitness record also, which is a huge plus. Solid first season overall - but not over yet, still time for an iconic champions league winner next week.

I’m happy with him.

Apparently, in their debut season for Arsenal, its only Gyokeres, Alexis, and Henry who has scored more than 20 goals in all competitions.

Signs are good. It took him a while to settle into the team and start looking like a quality striker. Maybe, just maybe, it bodes well for next season if he can carry that kind of form from the start. . I would be happy for another 15-20 goal season from him, especially if he continues to hold up, hold off, hustle and harry defenders and keepers while creating openings for others too. And it also looked like our other players trusted him more in the second half of the season.
