Anyway lets be honest here, which strikers have flourished under Arteta? He came into the club and the one thing we had was a golden boot level striker. Auba carried Arteta to his only trophy and then Arteta marginalised him and got rid of him. He replaced with Jesus who has a career high of 11 goals for a season with us. He's only gotten worse under Arteta. So then he turned to Kai Havertz, a player he brought in as a box to box mid. And tbf to Kai he managed 13 goals but of course he's only scored less and less since then. Now we have Gyokeres, who's on 8 league goals for the season 2/3s of the way through so he's trending for about the same. And he'll probably get less each year like the others. At some point we need to ask are the strikers actually the issue?

but look at the names you listed, yes they are the issue. jesus' problems in his first season were the same as those he had at citeh. kai is the same lame player he was at chelsea. vik did his best work in the portuguese league and his replacement at sporting an old journeyman is doing just fine. we're signing shit expecting them to be gold and that's arteta's fault. their productivity is not his fault, them being here is. so i will always be disgusted with him that these assclowns are wearing arsenal shirts.

Meatwad look at the xG for Gyokeres and he's .57 below, Thiago and Ekitike are further behind theres, there is a creativity problem more than a finishing problem. Our forwards are swallowed up by deep defences and a lack of other attackers moving the defence around and creating chances. Our best chances fall to Timber. The whole thing is arseways.

Qwiss it's not just about his goal-scoring, it's about his all round game. He's getting Giroud level numbers at best but without the technique, intelligence and overall link-up play.

I'm willing to accept the way we play has impacted his output but I don't seen enough to suggest that he's anything but very basic and not good enough for a title-challenging side.

He's just one of my least favorite Arsenal players to watch of my lifetime. He generates absolutely nothing other than pinning defenders for our wingers, and he only does that from time to time. He's got subpar physical abilities for someone who was supposed to come in as at least an above average runner, gets pushed around the pitch by any EPL center back when he came in with a reputation for bullying CB's, and don't get me started on his balance or lack thereof. I've never seen a player fall as much as he does when leaning into a defender. I am really tired of watching him do a whole lot of nothing all over the pitch and my patience has completely run out.

Jesus was no better when he came on - thought his level of effort when pressing was downright criminal. If he physically can't do it anymore, we should not be bringing him on as a substitute. In a pinch where those two are our only available options, I think Arteta got it completely wrong and should have started Jesus and brought Gyokeres on against tired legs. But I just don't know anymore - certainly feels like this signing has been a complete flop and potentially has kneecapped our title chances when a solid CF who at least contributes to play would help more than what we have seen over the balance of the season now.

Been thinking about our striker situation and Arteta fucking Auba out of the club over the "non-negotiables" which were supposedly pressing, etc but Auba did way more of even that than Jesus is doing now. How is he getting away with it? Just cos he's better mates with Mikel is all. That's the real non-negotiable.

Whats worse is that puts him 3rd in our team. Saka is 2.2 which is decent, puts him 14th overall in the league. Saka is our only player over 2. United have 4.
