a. We can disagree with their approach to squad building and they can choose to ignore fan sentiment but by the same token not cry foul when Madueke is booed for a poor performance. If you want to ignore fan sentiment, then don't expect them to be as forgiving when things fail.
I can already see the headline in September -"Arteta: I'm disappointed in the fans who booed, we are better than this"
b. There was no where near as much dislike for Ramsdale or White. There was close to this for Havertz and we saw how that played out early doors. Madueke is an inferior player coming in with even more baggage dragging him down than Havertz did at the time. Let's see how he copes - personally, I think he drowns and Arteta blames the fans for creating a negative environment for the player.
c. Madueke or Eze is besides the point. It's Madueke or someone else for RW back-up/the wing. It doesn't matter if we get Eze, it still means we've spent £52m on a shitster. And also means we won't be improving LW unless we play Eze there. Eze + LW starter would have made more sense. Eze/ a 8/10 is separate if you believe the press so using him to soften this doesn't track. Madueke is blocking an actual wing singing and that's the issue.
d. You don't wait and see on a £52m signing. You expect damn near the end product or a top prospect for this money - Madueke is neither.
