Sicario2 with this and the players we're heavily linked to, I would agree that there can't be excuses (assuming Arteta is fully on board with all signings) - the club have massively backed us this summer. My concern is that we're investing poorly but you can't say we're not actively filling the gaps in our squad.

If he succeeds, it will be really satisfying (the Havertz effect)
Things I don't like about this signing:
The price
The fact we're funding Chelsea
The fact we're buying another beige attacker
As a fan base, the club has proven us wrong a few times in it's recruitment the last few years; as others have mentioned, there have been quite a few players we were rightfully sceptical about that turned good. Personally, I only have to look at Raya, who ended up being my POTS last year. So that's my glass half-full take. But I really struggle to believe our attack is going to be anything other than efficient/effective at best next season and largely lacking in inventiveness/flair. Very disappointed with the profile we've ended up going for when we've finally started recruiting attackers.
