Good early on but then had a couple of poor moments when he just passed to the opposition when attempting give and goes.

I thought he was good last night. The thing is you can tell by his first dribble at the left back whether he's going to do anything that game. If he beats him and realises he has the beating of him his confidence grows, he gets into the game more and he can be dangerous. If it goes badly he'll hide more and run the ball out for the whole game when he isolates the full back.

Claudius nah. Martinelli never hides and he can be shit for ages then catch a team on the break. Very different players.

For as frustrating as Madueke has been, his floor is slightly higher than Trossard's right now.

Madueke will get his execution wrong, often comically so, but Trossard lost every duel last night and brought a ton of pressure onto our team. I was appalled at how he was dribbling backwards to goal and then losing it in danger zones.

The thing about Trossard is his confidence never wavers no matter how shit he is. He'll try to dribble himself out from the back and if he's in the kind of form where he'll lose it he'll do it anyway.

Trossard was one of the few bright spots this season, it's tragic how he's fallen off a cliff in the last few months.

He was a bright spot early in the season. As of right now, he is a complete liability, and has been actively inviting pressure onto our defense with his little jonky dribbles in our half, then losing it and letting the other team break forward. It really pissed me off yesterday, and he does it all the time. Do that crap in the oppositions half, not near our 18 yard box.
