What is special about this team is that we no longer have just one player that dictates all the creative play that we come up with. We have several, including Odegaard, Eze, Zubimendi, Ethan, MLS (sometimes), and quite a few others i dont even mention.
Honestly, im just so damn impressed by the team that we've assembled. We were a good team before, but we had our weaknesses. We had not nearly enough quality in depth, we were 1 or 2 injuries away from a crisis, we were without a bona fide striker, etc.
I give a lot of credit to Arteta, Berta and even the Kroenke's (for opening up the purse strings) and getting us the players we really needed to really put a push together. We MIGHT have been able to do it last year if we were lucky with injuries the way we were in the back half of the 23/24 season, but we weren't, and we were decimated by it.
This season, we've already had injuries (Kai, Saliba, Saka, Odegaard.... Not to mention Madueke, White, Hincapie, Norgaard and we don't even talk about Jesus). We should be getting Kai, Odegaard and Madueke back in the next couple weeks, and all the selection headaches that Arteta has now will get even worse once everyone is fit (in a good way)
