Yep. I feel I'm really harsh on him. Partly because of the level of wunderkid that have been coming through recently not just here at Arsenal but globally. He's been very good considering the level of opposition he's coming up against and being able to hold his own and make the right decisions in "protected" environments. I would say he's still in phase 1 of his development but tracking along nicely. Meets expectation.
Let's see if he can make the leap to exceeding expectations through the course of the season. For me that would mean he is able to come on and make a positive impact in limited minutes in away games, or tougher home games.
Arteta has got his work cut out when it comes to setting the kid up for success and giving him adequate playing time.
