Hincapie at that price doesn't make sense unless he's a starter. We're stacked at left back, why pay all that money for a guy who can bomb down the wing if you're not planning to use him that way. Doesn't add up.
If want to sprint down the touchline you need some speed, Eze hasn't got it and calafori hasn't got it. That's why they both come inside to work combinations.
We made so many signings so it's not all to congested on the right. And if we only play players on the left who can come inside we'll just congest the life out of the centre.
We apparently walked away from Ekitike who has the technical quality because he cost to much 79m. If we did that and then went and spent 60m on a back up centre back we'd be absolutely mad. I don't think we are. I think things unfolded how I describe in the first post because it's the way the decisions make the most sense at the time. It's all fits as the most reasonable thing to do at each step.
