I want to know what happened wi the Edu. Cos just one attacking signing as we were dumping 3 squad players at the start of the season would’ve made all the difference. I think we can beat PSG but then we need to bring everything to a final against Barca or Inter. It’s a tall ask for a squad that clearly needs something more joined up in the left front quadrant of the squad.
Arteta has been reading this forum. He probably agrees with Sicario too. Go for the EL for a better chance at a trophy. Really disappointing season this. Actually poor all around in the league at the top. The first time Wenger missed out on CL football, we finished 5th with 75 points, one point behind Liverpool. We will finish 2nd with 76 if we win all our matches left now.
Rohit it feels like the Leicester season. Liverpool have better players than Leicester but aren’t a vintage champion. Everyone else shat the bed. United and Spurs spectacularly so.
Claudius yeah I mentioned this a few months ago. this has largely been a season of own goals ala 15/16, starting with an underwhelming summer and culminating consistently shabby performances throughout the season.
Really poor this league season has been pretty disastrous in context and we've simply not been anywhere good enough. Awful preparation for the PSG match the team will be so low and many players just don't look anywhere near the level required. The season is all about Wednesday but if we crash out then we are approaching a big decision on where we are going with Arteta for me. We are a hard team to beat but the attacking quality to go from good to champions we have lacked under Arteta so far and he might have to relinquish his controlled way of playing.
