Absolutely. An iconic memorable night at the Emirates. These are the type of games and results you dream about. Certainly beyond my wildest dreams. I genuinely didn’t see any chance against them though do realise it’s only half time and we still have to go there. But to be in a position where we can go there and lose 2-0 and go through feels like dreamland.

Just unbelievable how much we dominated and battered them in that second half. It could have been more. Vinicius, Bellingham and Mbappe all anonymous.

Those 2 free kicks are genuinely the 2 best free kick hits I think I’ve ever seen. The power, the swerve, how far out they were, the occasion, the opposition, who the keeper was. The only other one that immediately sprang to mind for the quality as well as the moment was Beckham vs Greece. The Roberto Carlos swerver will be referenced given he played for Real but that was in a friendly. Before the first one I even said out loud to myself “it would have be something pretty special to beat Courtois from there.” For someone who is not a goal scorer, how may big iconic moments in big games is that in 2 seasons for him now?

Declan Rice take a fucking bow son. You were signed for nights like this. 20 years ago an English midfield led an unfancied side to CL glory. Will history repeat itself ? Proper iconic moments, that Rice second goal celebration will stay in the memory forever.

Tonight for me is the greatest victory under Arteta even including 2020 FA cup Final and this is the greatest night in Emirates history.

Need to go to the 2nd leg with humility and thinking it’s still 0-0.

We’ve had some heartbreak last few seasons with close calls with the title but night like this make you still believe and have hope that great things can still be achieved. We deserve and the players and manager deserve it.

Felt extremely well rewarded for being up from 3 o'clock to 5 o'clock in the dead of night to watch this, quite often it's a grind but that was forty or more minutes of real-time grinning disbelief.

After a season almost every fibre and organ of which has raged with curses and cancer, with the stench of months of downbeat vibes still hanging off us, even to dare to hope as far as a Champions League semifinal feels fucking odd. But our players put in a performance that forces us to hope that far. Bloody brilliant. Optimism restored.

One other thing I liked was in Rice's interview how he said Ode and the coach was telling him to cross and he didn't think it was right so took the instinctive decision to shoot. We haven't seen that so much and it's exactly what we need at times for our players to take the responsibility and go against the general plan. I really liked how he explained it and had the character to stick with it. Hopefully we get more of that from the team.

Wanted to share this moment with you guys. What a special night! Have nothing to add really to what you all have been saying.

Naturally, all buzzing, had trouble falling asleep. Kept thinking of our CB pairing. Not the rendition we saw last night with Kiwior, but Gabriel paired with Saliba. This is what kept me awake: How far back do we have to go in our history to find another CB who would start over either of them? Would Kos start in this team? Obviously couldn't come up with an answer, but an interesting thought experiment nonetheless. What do you guys think? May warrant its own thread, but couldn't be bothered...

Sol perhaps would start.. Otherwise, none since then. Not Kolo, not Kos, not Vermaelen, not Per, etc, etc. As sacrilege as it is to say, not sure Adams starts over either of them (in terms of playing ability.. though Adams was a true leader on the pitch)
