Not a big fan of Benzema. Would rather have got Higuain.

Still, if it comes down to just him or Giroud, I'd be all for it.

Like a lot of those blokes, he went to Madrid and was nothing more than part of a support act to Ronaldo. Reckon that he'd find his way again if he became the main man here.

Benzema is a much more rounded player than Higuain, better fit for the Prem IMO. Can't see Real letting him go though. Di Maria on the other hand...

IF Real are willing to let Benzema go surely they'd look for a replacement, Suarez perhaps?

Think he'd flourish as the star of the team, maybe find some form again. Still hesitant at that price though, it's a gamble.

Used to be a massive fan of this guy back in Lyon. Genuinely looked like he had everything to be an immense player, unfortunately he's only turned out to be OK at Madrid.

Best we can get though. Sign him up.

Well you cant seriously be expecting to pay much less for a star name like Benzema too, right? His form has suffered and he has been hot and cold for Madrid but then again so has EVERY player besides Ronaldo.

Price isn't an issue, he's still very talented. Infinitely better than Giroud even if he's equally capable of looking like a donkey.

Graham Hunter supposedly on talksport saying that R.Madrid would be willing to let Benzema as they believe they can secure a deal for Suarez to replace him. That is the only way I see this deal happening, otherwise would make no sense for them to sell.

Overpriced but we aren't in a good position to bargain, there aren't many alternatives out there who would be willing to join us.

I'd take a punt on him if they were shipping out on the cheap but that is clearly not the plan.

If this guy is available, take him. He's a class player. A bit of a Bergkamp, methinks. He can probably increase his productivity by being the go-to-guy. I would readily put him at the 9. We can also experiment with him playing behind Giroud (in front of Ramsey and Wilshere), with Cazorla out wide.
