Burnwinter I don't get to have an opinion given how little I post these days but xenforo like AM uses is brilliant. All the perks of a traditional forum like a proper search function, DM functionality and good legibility plus it looks great on mobile.

Also you can post pictures direct from your phone and it doesn't embarrass you when linking online pics like some internet-disabled boomer.

Pepe LeFrits Ok, bots are now signing up and flarum amazingly doesn't have any out of the box functionality to stop them. Who wants to setup Discourse?

Looks like this would mostly fix it if anyone (meaning @Pepe LeFrits …) feels like cPanel-ing / PHP composer-ing the fix in place and making sure it doesn't affect the current crew.

(I think with this in place the spam sign-ups would get blocked when they first tried to post a Temu coupon post, let alone start a Temu coupon thread.)

I'll try that later. I installed an anti spam extension the other day but if made no difference.

Ok, I've installed that and tested it. It looks like it'll save you guys the eyesore, but the mods will have to continue to delete the posts as they appear so it's not entirely a satisfactory solution.

Not sure if non-users are even checking out this website, but would it be possible to change the preview to being the latest post instead the latest unseen post?

For first-time lurkers the forum might look very inactive if they see the Mertesacker injury post, even if it does say 2 days ago.

QuincyAbeyie that's only for the linned posts by the way. I think I mentioned it before, asking why the injury thread is at the top even though it was last updated well before the most recent posts.

The rest of the threads show in the preview the latest post even though it takes you to the start when you open it for the first time. Pinned posts show a preview of the first unread post rather than the latest, and when clicking through does the same as normal threads and jumps you to the first unseen posts.

I think the easiest fix would be to keep only the welcome newbies thread as the only pinned thread with BW's opening post visible to all who join. Everything else can be just notlrmal threads.
