HomeSteak Gordons had a bit of a mid season but the season before he was probably the best LW in the league. I always find his work rate impressive too. Awful, awful face though.

I will feel much better about our window if we can just lock down Sesko. We know Zubimendi is all but done and we won't officially wrap it until July for Sociedad's finances. It also sounds like we are paying a bit more than the RC so that we can break it up in installments which is good news. So if we can lock down Sesko and know going into July that we have Kepa, Sesko and Zubimendi all but wrapped up, then I'm fine with us playing a longer game chasing after true game changers at LW.

I'm with lorddulaarsenal in that I think both Rodrygo and Nico will be successful here, for different reasons. I'd also loop in Barcola as a 3rd option and Gordon as a 4th option, in that order. If we could end up at the end of the summer with Kepa, Sesko, Zubimendi and one of those 4, we are a much improved squad iMO. Anything over that is gravy and anything less than that would be a tad disappointing (although I'd be fine with someone like Semenyo as a consolation).

Yep he definitely looks better for the national team. Those tournaments with Spain's dominant midfield his fun for the guy.

But I'm more thinking the grind of a premier league campaign. When it's not fun it's a battle and you're not that star guy anymore until you step up. I'm not saying he can't do it, and the guy is ready to explode talent wise. I'm just it'll be a culture shift for him if he doesn't hit the ground running. At least the atmosphere is good so he'll be better able to settle.

MistaT yeah Garnacho is just fast and dumb. Gordons a much better player IMO and his mid season was still 12 G/A. Previous season it was 27. I think if we are ever going to get Gordon now is the time to go for it. I think he's a player who'd suit Arteta too.

I have absolutely no interest, and some shallow disgust, in signing Garnacho. He’s an incredibly limited and dim player who is only getting by on moments of magic.

Gordon on the other hand, I think he’s a really sharp player that would absolutely thrive working with Arteta. He’s clued in and disciplined, and clearly knows how to build good partnerships with teammates….plus he can drive play.

Just need Rice and Saka to tap him up.

Qwiss Said it before but I like that he has a bit of a dick-ish quality to him. Not afraid to put himself about. Sort of player your fans love and everyone else hates. We could do with another Ben White/Kai Havertz type personality in the squad, especially if those two aren't looking like nailed on starters the way they were this time last year.

The other thing I like about Gordon is that he's fast and direct, reminds me of Rosicky in that way. Not that he goes straight for goal, but in the sense he just seems to be able to speed things up. He can lift the pace of the game.
