Exactly the kind of profie you want if your main keeper gets injured for a month or two. You don't want a kid or someone without Premier League experience who's going to crap the bed.

Don Pacifico I would welcome that. Would mean less pressure on the Slovenian as well but not sure we could justify spending £ on x 2 strikers. Would be a bit ‘London buses’ for Artera as well…

The more I think about the more I want us to get Morgan Rogers. He has that power and ability to get at any team. He’s relatively versatile in the sense he could play in the right or left midfield slots and he’d even be an option out wider in the attack.

I'd love Rogers and his versatility is a huge plus, but how effective would he be at LW?

For some reason I always think he's much older than he is, he has a late bloomer vibe, but looking at his contemporaries in the AM position on transfermarkt, he's a lot younger than most of them:

Rate Paixão, could be a really good option depending on what happens with other signings/exits.

Rogers is brilliant but where does he fit for us? He'd be a massive signing in terms of expense and in reality he'd need to be benching a midfielder for it to be worth it. I wonder is this the start of one of those "Arsenal have been talking to him for 2 years" type of situations.

Career wise he's mainly played as a left winger, but that's in the lower leagues. Transfermarkt has his big season this campaign as:

23 games AM (6 goals, 5 assists)
10 games LW (5 goals, 2 assists)
18 games RW (2 goals, 8 assists)
3 games CF (no goals/assists)

Mirth If we are spending £80m plus on the left I'd rather just get someone like Williams, Rodrygo or Gordon.

Mirth -- he's for sure a central player. I think he'd be aiming for subs and starts in both 8 positions (be it for Rice or Odegaard), but I don't think there's enough minutes there for him. Maybe he'd be comfortable being a bench player though?

Mirth yeah, that's the only thing I thought could swing it for him. Not a great use of resources if that's the case and will likely make him difficult to shift when the time comes but perhaps we only see it as a short-term investment.
