Below there's the Cannon Stats adjusted model for Gyökeres. If I'm reading it right the model suggests 134–182 minutes per non-penalty goal at Premier League level.
I think 140–150 minutes would be around 40% less than his non-penalty strike rate in Portugal so it isn't too far off the Telegraph's trend either.
3,000 league minutes for Gyökeres would be predicted to derive a bit more than 20 goals. If he got lucky and stayed fit, he could get 25. And that is why we should sign him, because it's goals we lack. It's that simple and we should not outsmart ourselves.
Technically he doesn't look that special but he's not a mutant Andy Carroll like Nuñez either.
