What I like about Sesko is that he has the potential to be dominant in the air as much as on the ground. Much like Osimhen he has a monster leap and his makes him a very versatile threat compared to someone like Gyokeres. What worries me his selfishness and clueless decision making at times. Hard to judge to what extent he can improve that. Also depends on the type of guy he is, no clue on that front. Hope we do some due diligence and don’t get end up with another Bendtner or Partey.

I think with coaching that will improve, also having better players around him will help in that regard. I've seen some clips where he drops quite deep, for us we'd want him playing higher up the pitch

Sesko will definitely help us get up the pitch quicker, he has decent pace which is something we lack in our team. On the counter should hopefully make us more dangerous.

Lets hope we can get this deal over the line.

Pepe LeFrits if you factor in those numbers, he has a goal every 155 mins this season, or a goal/assist every 120 minutes.

All very promising and I would love him at Arsenal it's just these aren't actually blockbuster, mortgage the house to sign him up, win you the league numbers.

As you say Šeško's got 1 in 2 in the league, and maybe he can only run hard for an hour. The same laws of arithmetic argue this is a player who on match day offers you two thirds of Havertz if the latter is in form.

Not gonna turn my nose up at any player of this calibre, but £80m on this guy is giving Mudrykesque risk bars.

Burnwinter watched half an hour of Sesko videos this morning. His speed and skill on the ball are great. Also better in the air than Gyok, which Jover will like. I can see him getting 20 with our team even next year.

Feels like a striker version of martinelli, for me. Not particularly intelligent, not particularly technical - more a beast who is going to impose himself physically when the game allows it. Will probably press well, but, looks like he’s going to struggle against low blocks, same way that martinelli does.

I don’t think he has the spark that we’re dying for - sharp, intentional movements around the box against low blocks.

The goal scorer role is different, the needed qualities are different, and this signing would feel like a continuation of the Jesus, Havertz legacy.

The most annoying thing is there is a guy on the market who does fit what we need.

Saying he's not particularly technical kind of flies in the face of most descriptions I hear about the player.

Could be a negotiation smoke. If we've entered into talks, it has to be with the assumption we'll find an agreement otherwise we're wasting time; the idea that we could just switch to Gyokeres if we can't secure Sesko would be naive.

flobaba he hits the ball as hard as anyone. Good technique. He scores significantly over xG as well. I think we have a really good player in an average team who can flourish with better service.

I find it pretty much impossible to think that we can't afford that. Its not like we would pay that whole fee up front, im sure it would be structured. But even if not, i am pretty comfortable that if we really want him, we'll get him.

Claudius I think it’s foolhardy to go into a season where you know you are going to be held up to the highest standards and the highest expectations with a totally unproven quantity in the most critical position of the team.

Imagine missing out on the best striker available in the market today when you’ve got a free run at him, in favor of unproven potential. The only thing that justifies that sort of move is a trophy. You’re basically putting that all on Sesko’s shoulders. And then when things start getting rough for him, as they are wont to do for young players with limited experience under pressure, I can see Arteta dropping him into the do not trust pile, fucking up his confidence. And then reverting to Havertz, and we are back to cross and hope, or second ball football in times where we are desperate for a goal, with no recourse to any player who can offer something different.

I just think it’s a dumb move, unlikely to move the needle in the immediate future. And we need to win now.

If we get Gyokeres and he fails at least we know we did the literal best we could do, and things just didn’t work out - and I can live with that
