HomeSteak Huijsen is one of the best CB talents in the world and when someone like that comes available you need to be in the conversation. Most top clubs were pushing hard for him, clearly very highly rated. Especially when you consider we are probably going to lose 3 defenders this window. We'd probably recovered a chunk of this fee on selling Kiwior and Zinchenko.

Doesn't mean we won't be in for attacking players.

Don Pacifico exactly. Folks like to conflate and simplify things. You can only sign a player once both the player and his team are ready to listen to you. If you convince one and not the other, there’s no bid going kn. It would be good to do an interview with Edu or any other DoF and break down how deals are done and what impacts timing of each deal.

Don Pacifico come on man, we know our owners. No matter who we sell & for how much, we won't spend more then 150 mil if that. So yeah, spending 50 mil on a new defender will fuck up our budget, just like it did last summer

Arteta said that one thing he took from this season is the need for a bigger squad. With exits in mind I recon we’ll see 6 or maybe even 7 additions this summer

I dont know that I agree with this. The owners know we are close, and they know they need some final investment to get us over the top. Do you really think we're only spending 150 this summer? I can't see less than 200 as a club. Just my opinion.

He wouldn't be just a backup keeper, if that kind of money is spent it would be with a view for him to take over Raya. Considering most top clubs are considering him I'd say he possibly has it in him to do so. If Espanyol get relegated the clause is something like €15m...

Also while Huijsen is talented he's not generational ffs. We need to fill gaps in our starting XI and he's 100% not starting for us.

if we are going all out on a striker like Isak and need a more budget option on the wings, could be a good option for the right price.

Nope, been tainted by ManU. Like Quincy said, he has an extremely punchable face, and i think he too often tries to do things himself. I don't really like his game. Would he do well for us? Maybe, but i'd rather go for others unless he came at an extreme discount or even a loan.
