Coombs Unless they continue to defy age, a regression is coming. I've always been of the mindset that I'd rather get rid of a player 1 year too early than hold onto them for one year too long. Feels like that is what will happen here but I may be wrong. I just don't see Salah repeating this crazy season and if he doesn't, they have more holes than people here will acknowledge. The TAA loss is a huge one- he is their second best creator after Salah. Their midfield has been mediocre since the start of 2025 once Gravenberch's form dipped a bit and they are going to try to rebuild their attack this summer by reportedly getting rid of Diaz (10g/5a) and Nunez. If they get it right, you could certainly see them improving but they'll be going after similar players as us and I feel like we have a leg up in recruitment due to not having to wait on sales. They also have to figure out what they're doing with Konate, address their LB spot, strengthen their midfield a bit and probably ensure they have adequate cover at CB behind VVD/Konate. And that's assuming they stay as healthy as they have this season.
I'm not going to rule them out next year of course but it certainly feels like a lot of things have gone their way this year and they'd need that to continue this summer and next year as well. I wouldn't bet on it personally.
