Speedster I'm not his biggest fan, but I recognize that Real didn't really give Rodrygo the best platform to thrive. He is technically superior to Martinelli and better in tight spaces, also I want to believe he will be less head down with his dribbling, and make better decisions in the final third.
I would also expect him to put up better numbers in a team where he isn't trying to be a fourth wheel to the Bellingham, Mbappe, Vini heroball trifecta, and of course where he's playing in his preferred position.
His lack of physicality or outright pace is a concern though. Like DD said, if MLS can pocket him so easily it doesn't bode very well for a career in the prem. I want a player like Saka on the left who almost always commands a double team because 1 v 1 there's no hope for the average defender.
Is Rodrygo that guy? Maybe.
