Qwiss yep, it’s the manager’s job to request the best talent in every position.

It’s Berta’s job to take that and prioritise the signings that make the most impact. If we have the perfect summer transfer window then we can focus on Garcia or another left back even but not before.

Secretly I suspect this is a done deal though because it feels like we’ve been chasing him for a year

Mirth I don’t mind spending money on keeper. Just get the forwards. If we’ve already convinced this goalie to come, that doesn’t get in the way of chasing striker unless we are in a cash crunch.

We could sign prime Messi and Arteta would have him playing as an auxiliary defender.

We need more quality up front but we need the manager to adjust his ideas just as much.

Feels like I'm missing something because I don't see Huijsen as the next big thing. He doesn't have Saliba or Gabriel's acceleration and usually has 2/3 dopey passes in him per game. The second part can be improved on, but I haven't been impressed by his lack of acceleration and turning circle.

lorddulaarsenal Been coming. I don't want to sell Martinelli but I would understand on the basis of the fee he would return and the current balance and deficiencies of the squad. He's the only player we have worth over £50m we can afford to sell pretty much, and also the one whose natural game least suits Arteta's tactical approach.

I would take Rodrygo without thinking. He's probably better than any winger we've been linked with.

Claudius yep. there's an element of flakiness with all the wingers we've been linked to. rodrygo has played at the highest levels for years now and is the perfect age. prime overmars ain't coming through that door

Gazza M id be supportive of signing a high risk, high reward wide player and couple that with a reliable, versatile option from the prem like Eze, Mbeumo or Cunha to establish a floor.

Bring Back Kerrea Gilbert he has 18 goals and 9 assists in the PL this season. If he was doing that in Spain, Germany or Italy he'd be on everyone’s wishlist. That he's doing it in the PL should rank him even higher. He's good enough for sure but he's mostly a right sided mid which isn't really what we need.

I’ve been banging the drum for Mbuemo since January window.

He’s be able to rest Saka, and I think he’d be sharp as our CF.

Agree with others however that he’s a floor raiser, and would be best accepted alongside a top top signing.
