  • Arsenal vs Tottenham | Wednesday 15th January | 20:00 UK Time.

After one hell of a week in the cups(we don't have to worry about them till next year) we are back in the PL. We play at home against Tottemham, you would think there is no better game for the players and Arteta to make the fans happy and forget the shit show that was last week.

In terms of injury, Califiori is said not to be long term but is out for this, Jorghino and Timber should be fine, they came out at the end there vs United but it was only cramps.
Jesus joins the long term injury list....with his knee fucked.

There is a blueprint on how to beat us but if there is one idiot out there who will not even glance at it...his name has to be Ange "Mate" Postecoglou. Not on point, but if I was the director of Tottenham and I saw him still play that idiotic high line vs this Arsenal side and ignore what works I would fire him the next day, but we shall see.

They are missing a lot of players as well: Bentancur(his name means bentanass in my language, great as he is an ass), Davies, Odoebert who ever he is, Richarlison - amazing how he managed to end his own career before the age of 27 - Romero, Udogie, Van de Ven & Vicario with Foster being a doubt.

We have done well against them since Arteta took over, in the last 5 games against them we managed 4 wins and a 2-2. We have not lost to them since that Holding game, where he got 2 yellows in 7 minutes. We only lost against Spurs at home once, in 2010, in that fucked up game where we had 2 up at the half...

Spurs score a lot, 2.1 goals per game so with the way we defend...it's not gonna be easy, but I feel that we will win.

Martinelli-Havertz-Trossard
Rice-Partey-Ødegaard
MLS-Gabriel-Saliba-Timber
Raya

This is what I think Arteta would put out. I for one would love to drop Odegaard and Havertz. I would go out and just play Trossard as a striker, it's really the only place he did well for us and play Sterling on the wing, but he will not.
The rest of the team is easy to pick. Jorghino cannot play every 3 days, Rice and Partey did not start vs United and the defense picks itself.
Don't know how Timber can play this much without getting injured...but what can we do, we have to overplay him and get him injured, because we overplayed our other right back all of last season as our other right back is a myth, a unicorn in the modern world—spoken of in awe, glimpsed by a lucky few, and leaving behind whispers of his presence that make you question if he was ever real.

Arteta and the club are feeling the pressure on as we can see with the leaking of the Zubimendi deal and whispers online that kroenke the bearded of the 2 is coming to London, so no better way to get rid of some of it...just beat Tottenham.

Gazza M Liverpool have a tough trip to Forrest tonight. If they drop points and we can beat Spurs there'll be e a huge vibe shift.

Qwiss I hope so, it feels like we need something significant to spark to lift the mood and change the narrative.

      Tam half way there.

I think we'll do it tomorrow. When you've had the week we just have, the only way is up. Spurs are not going to come and deep block us and - basically - if you keep creating chances, they will start going in eventually. I'm confident - for tonight, anyway. Tomorrow is going to feel loooooooong.

law of averages says havertz, tross and marti are scoring tomorrow

        Qwiss woaaah oooohhhh

Bet Jover is trying to get Arteta to sign that guy from Tamworth with the Delap-like throw ins.

USArsenal Really missing have a good left footer to take those with Saka out. Nwaneri showed more promise than Odegaard has - he just does not seem to have the pace on his balls to get what we want there.

Raya, Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly, Partey, Rice, Odegaard, Trossard, Sterling, Havertz

Subs: Neto, Zinchenko, Tierney, Kiwior, Jorginho, Merino, Martinelli, Kabia, Butler-Oyedeji

Glad to see Sterling is back, but surprised he is starting over Martinelli. Guess this is as good as it gets for now. MLS has become first choice when Cala is out. (deservedly so)
