It's a great deep dive and personally, I became more and more of a fan of the move for Zubimendi over the second half of this season when we saw how an unshackled Rice at the 8 could really be a huge weapon with his engine, aggression and ball striking. I also thought it was interesting to hear thoughts on Sociedad's playing style, how it may be influencing some of the numbers we have seen throw around as warnings about Zubimendi (long passes completed, passing accuracy) as well as his differences with the oft-compared Jorginho.
It seems like every great football mind that has come into contact with Zubimendi either raves about him or wants to sign him to their club, which is something that makes me very excited about his potential signing.
