What happened to this kid? Seemed like he was the next superstar, then suddenly looked completely shit for a few games and frozen out for the better part of the season and now dominates in the CL semi-final?

I'm just glad he's back to his best. Such an exciting talent. One of those players that seems to relish the big stage. The bigger the game, the better he plays. We've been crying out for those for ages.

he looked shit playing as a traditional fullback. even this season whenever he was in central positions (inverted) he performed the same as last season (the atletico home game where he styled on them for example). he just doesn't have the speed and agility to deal with real wingers. nothing wrong with that, it's not in his skillset.

I've been critical of Zubi since the turn of the year but he looked really good as a sub. Some time out will do him a world of good.

MLS also saves us from spending 80m on Tonali.

Fulham was probably the perfect game for him to come in and build confidence in the role. I heard Mikel only told him about 2 hours before the Fulham game that he was playing, which was also smart - didn't allow him time to over think things and get nervous. To do that Mikel must obviously know Myles's personality and strength of character really well.

Big big call but it's worked so well.

I actually though he could have played better today but it was certainly not bad. It’s great to have an option like him and of course no way in hell we should sell him.

Two games in a row where he's provided us with what we've been missing since Jorginho and Partey in 23/24.

MLS and Gyokeres were the main reasons Simeone couldn't strangle the game. They tried their best to compress the pitch, but the long balls to Gyokeres and MLS piercing the Atletico lines kept it relatively open for us.

One thing to do it against a middling Fulham team. Completely different ball game to come in from the cold with very little game time, new position and perform under pressure like that in an untried midfield and come out as one of the stars of the game.

Tam Yup, that was my concern when I saw him against Atletico, Fulham are in holiday mode whereas Atletico are battle hardened cunts looking for their next scalp, fair play to Arteta because if that had gone wrong everyone would be going for him.
