Mirth Odegaard was shite today overall but even with that being the case, he's still capable of moments and had shown some too. This game was clearly heading in the direction of a goal, if there was to be one, being from one of those moments that only really Odegaard is capable of. Well Saka too, but the problem is that he's likely to be the one on the end of it. You want both on the pitch when you're needing a goal. Horrible subs.

Some people will continue telling us that we need more defenders and we need to build our attack from the back.

And Havertz is too good as a CF, we can't find any better in the market.

And we scored so many bloody goals, proves that Arteta's attack is great and we are one of the best attacking teams in the world.

Which is why we always score from corners because of our relentless attack pressure.

Tactics

Again our attack is simply not good enough. At least nowhere near the level needed for a title challenging team.

I think we should consider switching to a formation with 2 attacking full backs (no inverting nonsense) and 2 upfront (Saka and Havertz).

Qwiss there are weird relationship issues all over the field. They look like a brand new team at times. Our best player Saka was isolated over and over which is not helpful

I don't think you get how teams work. We have a finishing problem but today wasn't like Monaco where we missed gilt edged chances which points to a lack of finishing. We barely created anything today. Having Gyokeres feeding off scraps in the box with 9 players surrounding him isn't going to serve him all that well. Our build up play was slow and ponderous and that leads to an attack that has to face a set defence.

If we could make only one signing, I'd prioritise a creative midfielder who can unlock a defence and share the burden with Odegaard.

This is not a new problem. Our open play goals has been consistently down for 3 years now. We have many games where we play like shit created nothing and escaped with a penalty or a set piece goal, last minute goal. Sample size is big enough. Even with all the players you want to see.

The way we play is the problem. Not the players. This is against bloody Everton.

Yeah I think today is the depressing realisation that we're not winning the league, this should be a bread and butter 3 points with whatever team we put out but we're not even threatening to score.
