So FFP cases are still ongoing yet they are allowed to continue to play around in the transfer window...

Makes me think they'll get off lightly. Surely any player going there will need assurances that they will still be playing at the top level.
Feels like they either know they're getting off lightly or they know they're getting a transfer ban and/or relegation and are stocking up ahead of time. That was my thought with the two young defenders they got this window but it makes it a little more of a stretch with Marmoush. Although, Marmoush is on like 30k per week wages at the moment so a hefty pay raise and promise that they're going to get back up in a year could also be a motivator there. We know Frankfurt aren't opposed to capitalizing on purple patches as well.
Sicario2 - Tier 1 Absolutely, wouldn’t be the first club to say no and then change their mind when a bid comes in. Weren’t Frankfurt saying no to Marmoush moving recently?
GooneriC Sounds like a lot of clubs were interested but City with Pep in charge have a lot of pull and a lot of money! Be interesting to see how much he costs them

sounds like he's ready to go if a deal can be struck. I get Darwin vibes from him. super athleticism and pace. could be a beast if he pulls it all together, or could frustrate massively. either way, we're at the point where we probably have to roll the dice
Agreed, January transfers come at a premium and Leipzig don't let their players go cheap. A deal to be done but will need to make it worth it for them.

He's suppose to be a top top talent, seen some comparisons of his style of play to Kroos.
Love getting involved with some of the emerging talent before their price tags are out of control. We need to do more of that - I still am salty that we didn't get involved with Estevao and let Chelsea have a free run at him for a relatively small fee.
If there's any chance of Chelsea getting Gittens, we need to be all over that right now. Can certainly sell the opportunity in our team much better than Chelsea can with their logjam of wingers (Neto, Sancho, Estevao, Madueke, Felix, Mudryk).
Paying a bit of a premium but in January that is what it takes.
That's what we'll have to do to prize Sesko, but I suspect the Kroenke's won't be sanctioning an 80m deal this window.

We can recoup that money if we go far in the CL unless Sessko is cup tied?
We should have signed someone by mid - Jan ie now. We knew about the Saka injury before the window opened. In title races where everything is about fine margins can we really afford to wait till Jan 31st before getting someone in?
I hope we get someone before we play Wolves next weekend.
Marmoush is also supposedly on 300k+ in wages, which would be a 10x increase on his current salary. Pretty absurd wages if that is true and you can see why the thought of Nico Williams hits roadblocks with similar demands.
Chelsea chasing yet another winger?
samthegooner Is that really big wages if you believe he can be a starting-caliber forward for you? As we’ve seen this season it’s those goal-producers who make the difference, who win you leagues.
It's a high salary, but it doesn't make much sense to compare it to his past salary. It's not really relevant. Compare it to Havertz's, for example.
Looks like he’d be a good prospect for the left sided central midfield role

We’ve already got Tomi, don’t want another Severe Kneepain ffs
Well maybe he’s on his way
