Interesting we are keeping tabs on Ferguson, at the right price he would be an excellent addition to the squad.

Isak is probably our first choice but with 3.5 years on his contract Newcastle will not let him go easily.

JazzG his injury record is pretty awful. You'd want to have a pretty serious medical to sign him. The talent is there and I think someone like Arteta could make him a top player because they've destroyed his confidence at Brighton since Hurzeler came in. He'd have to stay fit but he's only 20, if he could get fit he has the potential to be a huge player. Big if.

Don Pacifico they never said the exact sell-on fee, but the so called ITK and a few journo said at the time it was 20%, so a good deal for us to be fair.

yes, Barcelona will be able to pay for him and pay him 350k a week lol.

        Linked with Kubo

Would enjoy seeing him play for us, though wouldn’t be my first choice

HomeSteak I always said that Zirkzee move was terrible for United.
Was sad to see him hauled off first half versus Newcastle. Seemed completely lost.
I don’t even know who a sane manager would retain on that team. It’s all malformed and malignant.

        It’s a mess.

I like Zirkzee as a player. Think he’s one who needs the right players around him though. Reminds me of Jovetic

lorddulaarsenal Zirkzee likes to play as a creative 9. Like Jesus. So don’t put him on a team with a 9 and ball dominant 8, and wingers who don’t score high volumes.
The other thing that has always annoyed me was getting two young 9s who both need to develop. Does them both a disservice.
United is run like a corner shop

Keeper who can’t dive, 5 foot nothing centreback alongside two fridges, cavalier fullbacks who have no end product, uncles in midfield, turnover machines as playmakers, greedy lazy wingers, 2 young strikers who need the right environment to flourish. Yucks

True, the big concern is his injuries and like you say his confidence seems on the floor. It would be a gamble but might also represent a great opportunity if we can get him at a reasonable price and turn things around for him.

At our stage we'd ideally want to target someone like Isak but if Newcastle slap a £150m price tag and they have the money to do that and not budge. Even if for PSR reasons others will be sold before Isak imo.

Boy wanted Barcelona. Napoli will do.

          Some Arsenal news as well:

It sounds like we want two marquee, world class players at ST and CM and then we also want 1-3 younger players that we can develop. I assume most of this, if not all, will be done in the summer unless someone unexpectedly becomes available this month. A signing like Cunha or Kubo strikes me as more of an opportunistic signing to fill a gap as we try for the title and independent of that. The names mentioned for the marquee signings have been Isak (of course) and Reijnders from Milan, who I absolutely love to watch. The other names I saw for the younger signings were Jobe Bellingham, Adam Wharton and Tyler Dibling. I'd love any of these players personally and a summer with the two headliners and 2 of those 3 would be a spectacular summer IMO.

I really like Cunha but my only worry would be his fit in the team, as he's not an out and out winger or striker. It feels like we have two players of a very similar profile in Jesus and Trossard and while I think he would be an improvement over them (unless Jesus can sustain this recent form), I'd worry about if he could slot in on the wing or add more goals through the middle - which is what I think we should be focusing on if we are to sign anyone this month. Kubo is much more of a natural winger but his output leaves a lot to be desired (10g/4a over the last two seasons, although he had 9g/4a in 22-23). If we are going to be spending 60m+ on a January signing, I'd rather dangle that in front of Bournemouth for Semenyo and see if they blink, as I think he'd be perfect for us now and as we develop in the next 2-3 years as a great squad player/starter.

lorddulaarsenal he's had a good season but I don't see what problem he solves. he's not a striker or winger, he's another tweener like jesus and havertz.

Gazza M I think he’s different from them. Has a better mentality than Jesus, more a talisman with a killer instinct. He’s more technically gifted than Havertz.

Really liked the look of him at Atletico.

Just look at this YouTube vid of him. He’s top drawer.

lorddulaarsenal it’s a very sensible signing. He will be very expensive. But there aren’t a ton of forwards out there. With Newcastle in 5th, I’m less confident of Isak pushing a move away.
