He looked better than recent matches and done well to link play and keep the ball. Most of the anger seems to be at him poking the ball at the death which prevented a tap in for Havertz. (Although, it's likely the goal would have been ruled out.) Jesus on the other hand must have lost the ball every single time he had it.

lorddulaarsenal Sané gave us palpitations last season. Would’ve been a better bet than Sterling. But not sure I would prefer another mercenary. If we can solve the forward situation with a permanent transfer, would be ideal.

lorddulaarsenal I think the problem I have is that we are led to believe Arteta is all about the detail and studying what's happening to make us better. This summer we knew Jesus was having massive injury issues and his level had significantly dropped. He'd also not been that prolific even at his best. So if you don't look at that which anyone can see and seek to mitigate the fact he may continue on that trajectory that's not really good enough for me. Add to that we know martinelli and havertz have their own limitations so how that's not the area you are focusing on to push for a title. That's just not good enough at the top and it remains a serious marker against Arteta.

For all he's done so far he isn't in the top tier of managers he's in that level below of managers like Poch not the elite until you can show you can win trophies. These types of decisions over transfers maybe show his limits he has one game type not quite tactically flexible enough in his approach outside his preferred structure.

A cagey game that definitely highlighted how disjointed we currently are. It doesn't matter that we played essentially our starting XI when half are injured or coming back into fitness. So I have some sympathy for Arteta, but I lose that when I don't see us playing Nwaneri or signing anyone worth a damn.

Califiori was such a selfish/luxury signing when it was clear we needed a LWF and a CF to push our starters. I'm also appalled that we've let Jesus stick around, he should be in Saudi Arabia or back in Brazil.

JazzG need to spend the next ten days just doing two a days. If we can’t get players through the game, we can’t play like Arsenal.
Even just rewatching the game highlights now, you can see the goal we concede is probably due to fatigue. Our midfielders can’t spring out quickly enough to close down the space in front of defense.

Just the other week HE played Partey at right back and Rice in the middle even if he had other option in defense, I mean if Rice is injured and it's a nightmare whygo out of your way to play him? It was his call, if Rice is injured and not fit why not play defenders in defense and Partey in place of Rice, nah. He is full of it. Also, Jorghino exists, play him if the guy is not fit, and it's clear he is not fit. But if you do play him, take responsibly when he plays like he did last night, you can't have it both ways man

Saka is unfit and injured he said, for 8 weeks now, yet he put him on not even 2 weeks ago when we were 3 fucking goals up vs Preston. Fuck off, how does that make any sense? Excuses as he is feeling the heat

Burnwinter Trossard has always played like this, just now he to play a lot in place of Odegaard, move him back close to goal and he will score again.
