Edu is leaving
Gyökeres making everyone look like fucking morons, though.
Qwiss Huge amount of quality here, by and large.
I had it right: primarily a career move for Edu and nothing much to do with internal conflict at Arsenal. Made sense to me because that's how Edu got to Arsenal as well.
Must admit I ain’t bovved by this
lorddulaarsenal nor am I really. The only concern is the timing given we're getting close to January and likely already working on summer transfer plans. The groundwork for both is hopefully already laid but wouldn't want Edu leaving at this point in the season ideally given it risks undermining those deals.
Claudius looks like a bit of a wet ham - is he any good?
He looks like a lovechild of Sven Mislintat and Arne Slot.
His managerial appointments has been disastrous.
Signings wise he made a few interesting ones for a mid table club.
Rosicky is interesting. Since going back to Sparta he has utterly transformed the club and they are even competitive in UCL now after going on a winless run of no trophies previously. He always seem extremely intelligent.
Clrnc yeah, wouldn't mind Rosicky as it sounds like he's been doing a great job at Sparta.
Would be interesting if Mertesacker was picked. Imagine it would indicate a distinct change in regards to recruitment.
Rosicky can be the first injury prone director in football.
Tam Ten Hag with a rug...
Would be up for appointing Lil Mozart
Digging more into Tim Steiden
17-19 he was DOF at Werder, made 0 interesting signings and mostly flops
19-22 he was head of Scouting at Bayer, discovered Ezequiel Palacios for 21m, Moussa Diaby for 15m, Tapsoba for 18m (real find), Schick for 26m, Frimpong 11m, Hincapie 6.3m, Adli 15m... etc. Many good signings that's still there and key for Bayer.
Went to West Ham, tried to turn them continental by going for a Spanish coach, making a lot of foreign signings instead of british ones (Kudus, Alvarez, Mavropanos, Luis Guilherme, Fulkrug, Guido Rodriguez, Todibo, Carlos Soler) etc...
Mixed bag
Mirth I mean, rumours once whispered Rosicky's mystery injury was actually a cocaine problem, but that's never excluded anyone from holding an executive role
Of all the what ifs people like to post, I wonder if we ever had a chance with Cole Palmer. Arteta would’ve known about him. Last two seasons with this guy…
