Arsenal - Preston, League Cup, Wednesday at 19h45 UK time
I would go with
Raya
Nichols Maldini Kiwior MLS
Nwaneri Jorginho Merino
Sterling Jesus Zinchenko
Clrnc
This is spot on. I would even consider resting Raya tbh.

Sicario2 - Tier 1 to the point made above about Saliba (Claudius ), I think it'd be reckless to pick a 'keeper with no senior appearances in that backline. Players don't operate in a vacuum so there needs to be some more experience in organising the defence.
Don Pacifico Yep, even though its against a poor poor team that is languishing in 16th in the championship, but you still need a little semblance of experience. It's either Saliba or Raya playing there for me, although I think both playing would be ideal in an away game.
I think playing Saliba would be fine actually
I think he will go quite strong.
Raya
White-Saliba-Kiwior-MLS
Jorginho-Merino
Nwaneri
Sterling-Jesus-Martinelli
But I guess he will wanna play Zinchenko too?! So maybe instead of Merino as he has been playing MLS over Zinchenko at LB...
I'd put Nichols in for White and Kabia for Martinelli but that's 2 kids too far for Arteta.
What happened to that Segoe Junior kid? He started in one Carling Cup game last season. Is he still with us?
Heβs out on loan
Got today and tomorrow off work. Planning to sit and relax watching the game with a beer.
Any suggestions on what to have? Wish I could get hold of some Super Bock.
lorddulaarsenal an ice cold Pelforth Brune.
Looks a bit dark and tangy for me.
Plumped for Carling!
Setford starts. Curious to hear how he does. Backline is pretty strong; feels unnecessary to be playing Timber.
Thats a way stronger lineup than expected. Only Nwaneri and Setford starting that are not normal first teamers. (and Nwaneri is kind of a first teamer). Its even a fairly strong bench.
Oh god please let Timber survive.
That team better win this now.
Damn man, Arteta has no chill
If we are going to play a strong team can we at least thump them?
I think he went for a stronger team because we're away and he wants to give our second stringer some game time (and people like Merino, Timber and Saliba some match sharpness for this weekend). Timber is the big risk here, but maybe he wants him to get his conditioning back up.
