Not liking Partey at RB.. I would have started Kiwior/Gabriel at CB, Timber on the left, White on the right... Then Partey/Rice/Tross (or Merino) in the middle, and Marti/Kai/Saka up front, and bring Tross/Jesus/Sterling/Nwaneri off the bench as needed.

Got a bad feeling the defence will be unbalanced and the Liverpool front three will go at them aggressively from the off.

Also fear we’re taking a risk with Saka that might backfire. I’m not usually so defeatist but I feel this game could have a destructive effect on our season.

Hoping for some Martinelli brilliance to get the crowd going and behind the team.

Zinchenko has rightfully been pushed behind Timber in the pecking order, but is it just due to match fitness that he doesn't even seem to be considered an alternative anymore? Might be that we want Timber against Salah.

Should just have played Kiwior at CB. He has pace, and can help cover against their speedy forwards.

White - Kiwior - Gabriel - Timber looks far better, and would have kept our CM in best form in his correct position.

Partey at RB is the disappointment. Probably would rather Kiwior at the back (for all his flaws) so that we don't have to play Partey there.

Agreed, thats why i dont want Partey back there.. I was in agreement with him on the players at the back we should have used, but maybe switched around.

You understand that I agree with you and qith Qwiss.. i don't like Partey back there, i already said that above. I would have started White/Kiwi/Gab/Timber (in some combination) at the back and left Partey at CM.
