Bout done with this sport as I said earlier though. We don't get any benefit of the doubt in any decision. It's all well and good saying all clubs feel hard done by the refs but this is a another level.

Rohit that's a clear penalty once you look at it. Neither Liverpool player gets the ball and both impede him.

I wish Arteta were braver and made changes earlier simply for fresh legs. Liverpool started the 2nd half well and when it just looked like we were about to turn it around a little, Slot made 3 changes and it allowed Liverpool to stay on top even though the players individually didn't do much.

Rohit That's exactly it. Klopp showed him up last year by introducing some no mark young players and turned the game around even though individually they are lesser players than the ones they are replacing. Slot did the same and the fresh legs made a lot of difference to the momentum.

By the time we introduced them it was too late to turn the tide. Even then you can see that Nwaneri gave us back some momentum.

Frustrating, with how things felt and potential injuries coming into the game this was better then I feared and even navigating the additional injuries in the match .

But in the scheme of the title I think it's a pretty big blow as after the results before we needed to win this fixture. Liverpool coming away and not getting beat is good for them and City gain a bit more of a lead. Obviously lots can still happen but we are in worse shape then the last 2 seasons and would need to have an even better run from here then we've managed to date so feels increasingly unlikely that we can win it. It's why you need to make the most of those times where your avoid injuries and even get the luck that you need to have to help propel you. Fair play to Liverpool coming into the season it was about us and City they have forced themselves into the equation now

Also Martinelli totally bossed by Konate couldn't get anything from him and by the second half just didn't even believe when he was going up against him. Setback for him because if he wants to be in our attacking line as a forward at this level I think he has to show more in these types of games. Havertz also had a bad game by his standards as well.

Hard to dislike this new Pool manager, speaks so well calmly and said we were by far the better team in the first half and we deserved our 1 goal lead. Didn't get baited by the interviewer afterwards and just concentrated on his own team. Quite refreshing compared to Klopp who often throw in some low digs. Gave us a lot of credit.

Slot on Arsenal: They can use 40 different setups, I think Arteta said himself. You prepare a gameplan, you expect something, but you can’t prepare for 40 gameplans. Today they played with a false 9 which I didn't expect. They also didn’t come that many times with a full back inside and we spent the whole week preparing for that. We couldn't cope in the first half.

Studio just analysed our disallowed goal. There was no foul and Anthony Taylor was seemingly happy to play on. The clue was not a single Liverpool player appealed for a foul and all played on as well.

When Havertz was about to put the ball in, all of a sudden Taylor realised we are about to score and panicked, quickly blew the whistle first before the ball crossed the line to ensure that we can't score. If he allowed us to score and then blow for a foul, VAR would be able to intervene and then the goal will be given again so he couldn't afford that.

Clrnc like I said, 10 years from now we’re going to be watching Netflix documentaries about the match fixing that’s going on now. There is no way these refs are really that bad. They are 100% bent.

I can’t stand this Arteta safety first approach. The game was crying for a change, we were just all out defending. I just don’t understand his problem with Nwanieri - did more after two min than Trossard did all game. Thing is he’ll see the second goal was on a counter and he’ll just double down. This and the refusal to use his bench is mind boggling. Yes, Jesus and Sterling have struggled but these are your subs, Jesus was lively and both would have been fresh. But let’s wait as long as possible. Fuck right off.

And don’t even get me started with the refs, but let’s not hide behind the obvious corruption/incompetence. There are serious issues with our approach

Arteta doesn’t trust Sterling. Another reason why that was a shit transfer. Had we got a proper ‘12th man’ we would be in a lot better position.

Blaming ref’s is the most beta thing ever.

We need concentrate on ourselves and our own deficiencies. Should have taken the game to Liverpool when 2-1 up and Mikel should have brought on subs way earlier, too passive.
