We'd literally be swatting players away and onto the ground or kicking them up into the air. Dunno how a Rice/Merino midfield will work out in terms of dominating the game territoriality and from an attacking perspective but coupled with Havertz amd our back 4 we'd definitely dominate teams physically like an old school Allardici Bolton team.

Physicality will play a large part in it, but both are so switched on mentally and can read play so well, which helps them retrieve and retain the ball.

Merino is such a smart user of the ball and he’ll be a huge multiplier. He’s very adept in and around the box too

USArsenal yeah, I'm with @Panda - there's no obvious offensive threat in that midfield, which doesn't mean it can't work, just very different from what we're used to.
