Arteta will definitely goes for Partey Jorginho Havertz, Jesus up front.

Clrnc Right, well he'd run around as an 8 anyway, to be fair. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing him, or Trossard over pulling Havertz back into midfield.

☝️ Something like this would be interesting. Sometimes White on the overlap, and sometimes Zinchenko tucking in and roaming forward.

We'd get fully slaughtered in midfield, give up 60% possession and probably struggle in midfield, but we'd have four 6' brutes and a spare man across the defence and plenty of passing to release Havertz and Martinelli.

This makes a lot of sense to me. It gives us solidity in the back. But it also gives us flexibility to move pieces around and create unexpected overloads in midfield with the different pieces we have.

I wouldn’t start Zinchenko high up. I’d sooner use Timber as a pressing trigger. Otherwise we become fully a counter attacking team. Timber is a real joker

I'd go with this. Jesus and Havertz leading the press, but play with Jorginho and Partey in a very restricted double pivot. Mix between pressing, and when the press is broken, quickly drop deep, sit back and go for long passes at Havertz, with Sterling, Saka and Jesus to counter off him.

Pepe LeFrits I like this but just with Jesus and Havertz swapped out of possession so Havertz can sit deeper with his height and ball winning. Then when we attack, can be more of a 4-2-4 with Jesus and Havertz dovetailing at ST/CAM. I think we need at least one of Sterling/Martinelli to start in order to have transition opportunities against their high line.

Pepe LeFrits swap Jesus with Trossard and I think thats close to what Arteta will do. Personally I'd just play Nwaneri.

There's no way Nwaneri starts this game. He needs minutes in the league before he gets thrown into an away NLD.

Jesus is a middling footballer but I think his energy could be important against Spurs so I'd back him to replace Odegaard. A midfield three of Partey, Jorginho and Havertz/Trossard would have no ability to press or hurry Spurs' players.

Some disturbing omens heading into this. Screwed over by a bent ref and missing two of our best players.
