daredevil I think the way they played was down to tactics. There was a clear instruction for us not to build up through midfield IMO and instead went long almost every single time. Raya played quick passes to our forwards when opportunities presented themselves. This was why our CMs looked "absent" on the ball.
Jorginho had some poor moments in the 2nd half but was fine otherwise. Partey was decent throughout and didn't do anything that put us in danger. They kept a nice shape without the ball, cutting out passing lanes and the distances always looked spot on. All this contributed to Spurs creating almost fuck all. They got desperate in the end and started aimlessly crossing the ball in and shooting from distance.
Shout out to Timber by the way, he was extremely smart in his defending: unbeatable 1 v 1, he was patient and always forced the attacker to make a decision instead of diving in .
Solanke looked good for Spurs in the 1st half but he's probably bad news for Son. Just like Mane in his latter years at Liverpool, his best position is central. I don't think he's got the legs to be as effective out wide. He was completely invisible today.
