Just heading back from the game. In the stadium couldn't really see what Rice had done so seemed insane that he got sent off at that moment but reading that he did kick the ball away which is annoying even if the punishment is unduly harsh. I was more frustrated with his first yellow that was unnecessary and really silly which then puts you on edge.
The ref was a total idiot the way he seemed to ref the game generally though know common sense approach. Once the sending off happend we totally look like we lost discipline and were all over the place at times. So easy for them to get through at us and I felt Arteta just took too long to switch some more defenders.
The Havertz and Saka misses are the kind of examples we've seen before about not quite having the clinical quality in the forward line that can just get you through a crazy match like this.
All in all not a great day but ended up lucky to not get beaten but makes the next 2 a lot tougher because they could be defeats even when you are doing okay as a team.
