Reckon what you guys are complaining about and calling bad decisions are being welcomed by Arteta, and will probably be the same even if we buy the likes of Williams and whoever else is being called for, for that left wing spot. Missing chances or whatever is one thing, though I'm more of the opinion that I'd rather you keep getting and missing chances, than not getting them at all, because sooner or later they'll start going in.
I'm sure Arteta isn't telling them to mess up the shot, or the final pass. But if we are taling about positioning, movement, contribution to buildup, running with the ball down the touchline and kicking crosses off the defemder for a corner when we have only 1 or 2 players in the box then I'mpretty sure it's by instruction. The role for our left wing isn't the same as it is for our right winger and I don't see that changing in terms of functionality, although numbers may look better depending on form/confidence etc. At least as long as we have Saka on the other wing who Arteta trysts with more freedom down that right similar to how Klopp trusted Salah with more freedom on their right and required Mane/Diaz etc to hold that width on the left.
