I stayed off the forum for the last half of deadline day. Have been through enough of these sky sports monstrosities to know better. It’s interesting to read the forum melting down about our lack of ambition, and then contrast that with the facts.

This was the 3rd lowest net spend summer for the premier league since 2016. Teams were balancing the books. Selling before buying was high on the agenda. We were only the 7th biggest spenders, and even then outspent City and Liverpool 3x each. There were no marquee transfers - unless you choose to count someone like Ugarte, Zirkzee or Felix.
I share these numbers to reassure you that Edu is not a sleeper agent sent to sink the club as many of you seem to think. It’s always good to have the global perspective. Spurs are still spending tons and still far from our quality. Again, helps to highlight the quality of Edu’s work.
