Klaus True but I don't think there is anything wrong with wanting to try and earn more money. I think of greed more as when you become obsessed with the idea and willing to compromise all your principles to make more.

JazzG well for some Inter fans he has already tarnished his legacy by negotiating with the Saudi’s one week before the CL final. The result of the CL (arguably the worst in Inter’s history) of course doesn’t help. Not sure he would be welcomed back with open arms if he ever wanted to return to the Nerazzurri.

Mirth From a professional point of view it could be argued it is a developing league and you need top people to go out there to bring the quality and standard up. I don't think Saudi will ever be self sufficient and always be a league propped up by the government.

I think if you're a top player and you go out there in your peak years that is different. Towards the end of your career I can see why. Inzaghi is 49 years old, he'll come back as a 51 year and still have 10-15 coaching years ahead of him.

For players as well, they have such a short period of time to make big money and a lot of these players have come from poor backgrounds where they view money differently.

JazzG there's no getting around it. The Saudi paycheck is essentially the cost of writing off your professional principles in return for outsized returns in a sportswashing project. As far as shit people do for money, it's fairly benign, but call it what it is.

QuincyAbeyie It could be argued lack of ambition or losing out on a legacy but I wouldn't just put it purely down to greed. End of the day coaches/players leave clubs for money all the time, Saudi is just a project so they need to offer massive money to lure people in otherwise nobody would be interested.

Reductive argument There's a world of difference when someone moves from 1 competitive club to another competitive club for more money.

JazzG it wasn't a rhetoric question - I was genuinely asking to understand your position what kind of decision a manager will make that can be said to be made out of greed in your definition since this doesn't fit.
