QuincyAbeyie yeah I thought the post was more in jest because they may well pull some defensive weight but they absolutely deliver with goals which is a big differentiator from any of our forwards. If anything it just reinforces that the goal scoring element is crucial otherwise the defensive mentality won't get you to big honours.

I think people are missing the point here. The defensive workrate is a prerequisite and a foundation upon which the attacking fluidity is built.

Did anyone see how hard Kvaratskhelia was working to run back and tackle at 4-0 up? How about when he was tackling Salah and Saka on the edge of his own box?

A reasonable critique is what our attackers do when they have the ball and not how hard they work defensively.

I think the latter. If you agree and is just being very firm on our exact balance being the ideal one, then fair enough. If you're open to the idea that this might not be the case, then I don't think anyone has missed the point.

daredevil I meant in jest about using it as a means to say Arsenal are on the right track because it's not that they might not do defensive work but they do the critical aspect of being a forward by scoring a lot of goals not just hardworking defensive work because that isn't going to win you honours.

Of course, there's degrees but there's no data to support our attackers do more recovery defending than other top teams, so the criticism is baseless.

Big opportunity missed this year. Our game v PSG was basically the final because as predicted Inter are old and busted and getting involved in a losing title race took their last bit of energy out of them.

Basically we lost CL because we bottled the first 20 mins of the home game.

Klaus True but I don't think there is anything wrong with wanting to try and earn more money. I think of greed more as when you become obsessed with the idea and willing to compromise all your principles to make more.
