Sicario2 They're probably the tougher opposition but overall it's not bad. Quarters will be a lot harder if we get that far, looks likely we'd be up against an established Spanish or German top flight club.

How does it work with our opponents being 4 possible teams rather than the winner of one tie? Is there another draw after the playoff round or some kind of seeding so it depends which two get through?

invisibleman18 yeah, I'm a bit confused about it too, but I think the answer to your question is essentially yes to both bits. We are in a seeding pair with Inter and the draw which takes place after the play off round will decide the specifics of how we spilt from them.

Yeah. Lots of draws everywhere.
So out of the league phase, they split teams into 16 in a prelim round and 8 seeded teams that go last sixteen.

The 16 in the prelim round were drawn thusly. For every two matches, there were two pairs of teams, so you could end up with AvC and BvD or AvD and BvC. The winners advance to the last sixteen to face the 8 seeded teams

In the last sixteen the winners (say A and B in this instance) will then be put into another similar drawing process with the two qualified teams E and F (us and leverkusen, in our instance). So again you can get AvE and BvF or AvF and BvE.

The winners of this L16 have a predetermined path. In our case, we would end up facing one of City, Real, Celtic etc.
