Small margins for Spurs but they manage to make them so huge by defending so poorly. They're our opposites in terms of maximisation, which seems fitting. I don't see a genuine turnaround under Postecoglou so I'd say he'll get sacked and that'll be that.

Too much stress and effort is focusing on teams that won’t compete with us.

The same happened last year when Spurs were leading the table after 10 games.

The only team that we need to worry about is Man City. Liverpool look ok but haven’t played anyone of any note yet.

Ange Postecoglou tore into his Tottenham players after seeing them throw away a 2-0 half-time lead to lose 3-2 at Brighton, branding the performance “unacceptable” and accusing them of a lack of fight. The manager has not been this angry after a defeat during his season-and-a-bit at the club, his outspoken criticism feeling like his Antonio Conte moment.

Conte, the previous permanent Spurs manager, went into meltdown after his team surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 3-3 at Southampton in March 2023, furiously questioning his players’ mentality. It should be said that Postecoglou’s delivery was rather more measured.

Paranoid, defensive football or madcap attacking football, there's one constant: Spurs are shit.

Ange just isn't good enough for the PL. All the shouting in the world won't change that. He's just not tactically capable.

Qwiss Calling it a tactical deficiency is almost flattering the situation. The refusal of pragmatic game management has become persistently embarrassing and looks childish. I don't think Postecoglou will get that much more time at Spurs unless he tacks pretty sharply.

The requirement if you go two ahead at Brighton is that you emphasise the defence of that lead. There's no way around that. If you refuse that, it becomes very difficult to say you're building any sort of power in this league. What could be argued as the advent of a cultural change after his arrival at Spurs is now looking fundamentally unserious.

I don’t think Spurs are capable of being defensively robust even if huge Ange instructed them to be.

Porro is basically a winger, Udogie is all over the place, Romero isn’t switched on and is a faux hardman, Van der Ven is awkward as fuck, Vicario is a scardy cat whilst that unit is being protected by Bissouma who think he’s in permanently in a night club.

My main takeaway from that weekend is we gotta watchout for the Forest visit.

Looks like City may end up lawyering their way through everything in the end. Could just be the first step.

Big Willie they will always have more lawyers. They’ll pull up with convoy of trucks full of documents to occupy the Premier League’s lawyers and stop them from writing their arguments. We are screwed.

They've basically upheld the majority of the existing APT rules, including the principles behind them. So while there may be one or two tweaks, it broadly means that these clubs can't use inflated sponsorship deals. It also should mean it has next to no impact on the other case.
