When the club lies to your face (check Arteta’s post match interview after last game of the season last year) it’s no fun either.

The only way the club can come out of this mess is a HUGE summer otherwise they can go fuck themselves.

Qwiss I posted an article from 2013-14 earlier. When we were getting flipped for real by Chelsea, City and Liverpool in all our league games. Includes the 6-0 1000th game. That season hardened me. Arteta would have to fling shit at us for me to cry. It’s a balance between really craving that big trophy and not letting myself get depressed by something I ultimately have no control over.

Claudius 2013-2014 ended gloriously though with an epic FA Cup win. Which is what happens when you sign a world class player in the previous summer (Ozil). What will we have to show for this season?

It’s all well and good looking back at previous seasons to make us feel better about this one but it’s irrelevant. For true meaning the only season you should compare yourself is the one you had before and we have regressed no thanks to our ambition less board.

Took it more as a reminder that Eddie would probably be pretty useless for us if we still had him. Getting £35m for him was robbery.

Burnwinter we sold Nketiah and ESR for Vieira money. They’re basically Vieiras out there. Balogun too.

Burnwinter Eddie wasn't brilliant but he generally offered similar output to Jesus. I'd take him over playing Merino at centre forward or Sterling on the wing. We got good money for him but we sat on it. Doesn't really help anyone but Stans accountants.

Nketiah was good relief in each of the past two seasons and would rather have him now then playing Merino up front or money in the bank.

We gutted our squad going into a season when total fixtures would increase. City did similar and Pool for some surprising reason are still plowing on with no injuries. I don't think 2 players in each position is sufficient to handle the volume of games now.

daredevil it's bad resource planning. i understand getting money for ESR and Nketiah (we've made more from them than they were worth to us), but in principle keeping a Nelson or Vieira around would've been helpful for depth
