He got sucked in for the 2nd goal but tbf it was an amazing strike.

Otherwise was uber solid again. Brought the best out of Martinelli and was literally everywhere. He is the most natural of inverted fullbacks I have seen and his vision, passing is genuinely top notch.

He is so far ahead of the next best LB option for us which is Tomi/Timber

Love him already and I think he’s already getting the best out of Martinelli.

I would even give him half a season to really get up to speed on the way we play and his positioning and decision making, and then i think he will be even better. And he's already pretty good now. Hes tall, got long legs, he can gallop up and down the pitch, and he's got pretty good ball control (and we all know he can take good shots. lol).

I think he's been a bit bogey defensively in every game so far. I like his energy but he's rash. Has played a few Zinchenkoesque kamikaze passes in the defensive third and has a habit of over committing and not getting there. Has been a bit lucky so far

Pepe LeFrits tbf he's 22 and just arrived in the league. I think he'll click defensively soon enough.

I love him so much in attack though, looks a constant threat. Even if he's not scoring or assisting it means defences have to worry about him and that gives Martinelli more space.

between Cala as first choice and Timber as alternative at left back, I am now comfortable that we have the assets to move past dependency on Zinchenko, Tomi and the remains of Tierney. I just love the skill, power and size they bring.
For me, keep all our defenders and release Tomi and Zinchenko. The rest fill out the back line nicely. And gives us space to develop Heaven
