It's interesting how much Arteta has doubled down on this libero LB role. Even Myles is taking up the same positions at CM hovering around the centre circle.

Again, it's a shame we can't have both on the pitch at the same time, such a joy watching them both.

IIRC the moaning was because he was perceived to be injury prone. But, frankly, for this level of talent you take a gamble.

Mirth What's maddening is that he's arguably the second best Italian centreback at the moment too, and probably would have been the best if he'd kept playing there. Supreme talent.

Was good last night but wasn’t really tested. Bastoni looked so strong.

Italy should manage to qualify and have some decent players but I doubt they’ll be challenging for the biggun next summer

lorddulaarsenal Yeah too few good forwards unfortunately. Only Retegui can be expected to score a few goals in a world cup, and he just retired to Saudi Arabia at the ripe old age of 25. They desperately need some good strikers to emerge or Ricki may end up top eventually.

Good first half, slightly dodgy second. I guess he was flagging. The way he got rinsed a couple of times was concerning as we know it's due to limitations he'll never overcome.

Bring Back Kerrea Gilbert he’s still very young for a defender and has missed a lot of football. He will learn with more experience how to time tackles better. It’s not so much about pace but positioning. He’s Italian, he will get there. His pro’s def outweigh his con’s although I loved how he can effectively roam wherever he wants on the pitch. Yesterday he was everywhere bar goalie lol

‘Ricky’ is supreme. Rolls Royce player imo. I feel we are still haven’t seen his full range of abilities. So many times he is making a run or in space and is not noticed by a teammate. I hope he stays injury free and helps us win something.
