Yeah, I don't think our transfer strategy would be determined by his Euros. To be honest, if the player really is keen on Arsenal and the selling club don't have any options, playing hard ball probably is the right thing to do. Getting him in before the pre-season tour isn't worth £5m more.

Looks like it is nearly done. £33.7m + £4.2m in addons is a fantastic deal, sell on clause is not ideal but it is not like we ever sell our players for good money!
